“This is the day that the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it.” It’s our call every day, but especially as we celebrate Easter. We are called to rejoice, to celebrate with joy again, remembering that the Lord is risen! We also find this Good News through today’s gospel in Matthew, as Christ is declared risen by an angel and finally as the risen Christ himself appears. Come risen Lord, be present with us here this day and always, as we rejoice in your resurrection.
