In this week’s gospel it is Peter who declares the true identity of Jesus, proclaiming that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God.  Following this bold proclamation of faith, Jesus refers to Peter as the rock upon which he will build his church.  Jesus also states that he will give to Peter the keys of the kingdom of heaven.  We too are followers of Christ and confessors of the faith.  Is it possible, as followers of the Way, that we might have just a bit of Peter in us too?
