Jesus proclaims to the people that we are salt of the earth; light of the world; a city on a hill.  A city perched on a hill not meant to be hidden.  The light it casts is meant to shine for people to see.  Is this how we would describe our witness and the light of Christ in us this New Year?  Lord, shine your light in us, that those who see your light may give you glory.
