This Sunday, we celebrate the day of Pentecost, a Spirit-led birthday of sorts for the Christian church.  We also celebrate our first Confirmation at Saint Martin, another birthday of sorts or at least first here in our gathered body of Christ.  In this day of celebration we also remember the dissonance in Acts and how the apostles were treated on this “birthday” of the church.  Our backdrop today in 2026 also has a fair share of dissonance around us.  Yet in Christ there is peace, not because of what happens in the world, but as a gift from the Holy Spirit, no matter what may come.
